More About the Training

Free Course In Person

The Bible Study Training Course

This course is designed to teach you how to study Scripture for yourself—not by memorizing someone else’s conclusions, but by learning a clear, repeatable process for asking the right questions of the text.

The method taught here is simple, but it is not shallow. Based on the Observe–Interpret–Apply approach, the framework begins with the “red letter” words of Jesus in the Gospel accounts.

What This Course Is (and Is Not)

This is not an advanced theology class, a survey of biblical doctrines, or a collection of pre-packaged answers. Instead, it is a practical training focused on how understanding happens—how context, language, audience, and purpose shape meaning in Scripture.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Read passages more carefully and intentionally

  • Ask questions that clarify meaning instead of creating confusion

  • Distinguish between what the text says and what we assume it says

  • Develop confidence in your own study without relying solely on teachers or commentaries

The goal is not mastery overnight, but steady growth and clarity over time.

How the Training Works

The course is structured to be approachable and flexible. The materials allow you to revisit lessons as needed and apply what you’re learning directly to your personal Bible study.

During the training, we focus on the topic of salvation using John 3:16 as a case study.

To get the most out of the training, you’ll want three things: the course (video or in-person), the PDF course guide, and a Bible. Beyond that, having a copy of the book can be a huge help during and after the training because of its additional resources.

Who This Course Is For

This training is for:

  • Christians who want to better understand the Bible, not just read it

  • Small group leaders, teachers, and ministry volunteers

  • Anyone who has felt unsure, dependent, or frustrated in their Bible study

You don’t need prior training or formal education—just a willingness to slow down and learn how to ask better questions.

What You’ll Walk Away With

By the end of this course, you won’t simply know more about the Bible—you’ll know how to approach it with greater clarity, humility, and confidence.

This course won’t replace community, teachers, or the church.
It will help you engage Scripture more faithfully within them.
